Neo allows you to review changes made to consultation notes directly within the consultation by clicking the Notes Activity tab. The Notes Activity tab will let you see the date and time the event occurred, the staff who took the action, and the type of activity event. These activity events can even help you identify and copy unsaved notes to a consultation, to ensure your patient records are accurate and complete.
Any time the consultation notes are saved by clicking the Save Notes button or clicking anywhere on the consultation, an event will be logged to the Notes Activity tab, regardless of whether the consultation notes were modified.
There are 5 different note activity events:
- Created – the consultation is saved for the first time.
- Updated – the consultation was saved, regardless of the notes being edited.
- Locked – Lock Notes was clicked.
- Unlocked – Unlock Notes was clicked.
- Update Unsuccessful – a user attempted to save their changes to the consultation notes, but another user pressed Lock Notes first.
Compare consultation note events and restore saved notes
If you save a consultation and receive a warning that indicates your notes may not have been saved, you can click View Change on an Update or Update Unsuccessful event. This will allow you to compare updates made during the selected event with the previous event.
If your notes were not saved to the consultation; and you need to restore them, you can copy text from the version where you find your notes and then paste them into the consultation.
