You can add an image or picture that’s been saved to your computer, laptop, or other device to forms, procedure templates, or consultations.
Images will be saved to Neo’s secure file storage; so they will always be available in Neo.
You also have the option to use a third-party image hosting site to store your images, however, IDEXX does not endorse or support any specific third-party vendors.
Note: When choosing a site to host your image, be sure to pick a secure site that offers a static—not a temporary URL—for your image.

Add an image to a form:
Permissions: Users must have the Documents permission to add or update a Forms & Certificates template.
- Click your name in the menu bar. Then click Administration.
- Under Document Management, click Forms & Certificates.
- On the Forms & Certificates tab, select the form you want to edit.
- In the Form Editor, place the cursor where you want the image to appear.
- On the Editor toolbar, click the image button
. - To add an image from your computer, laptop, or device, click the Upload tab. Then click the Choose File button to locate and select the image you want to insert.
- Wait for the image URL to be created in the Image Info tab.

Note: If you are inserting an image that you have stored on a secure third-party website, paste the image URL in the URL box. - Click OK.
- Click Save Form.
Add an image to a procedure template:
Permissions: Users must have the Branch Manager permission to add or update a Procedure Template.
- Click your name in the menu bar. Then click Administration.
- Under Branch Management, click Procedure Templates.
- On the Procedure Templates tab, click the name of the procedure template you want to edit.
- In the Form Editor, place the cursor where you want the image to appear.
- On the Editor toolbar, click the image button
. - To add an image from your computer, laptop, or device, click the Upload tab. Then click the Choose File button to locate and select the image you want to insert.
- Wait for the image URL to be created in the Image Info tab.

Note: If you are inserting an image that you have stored on a secure third-party website, paste the image URL in the URL box. - Click OK.
- Click Save Form.
Add an image to a consultation:
- Search for and select the patient.
- To start a new consultation, click Create Consultation.
OR - To use an existing draft consultation, click the Consults tab, and click the consultation ID to open the draft consultation for editing.
- In the consultation notes, place the cursor where you want the image to appear.
- On the Editor toolbar, click the image button
. - To add an image from your computer, laptop, or device, click the Upload tab. Then click the Choose File button to locate and select the image you want to insert.
- Wait for the image URL to be created in the Image Info tab.

Note: If you are inserting an image that you have stored on a secure third-party website, paste the image URL in the URL box. - Click OK.
- Click Save Form.
Resize an image
To resize the image, adjust the height and width, as needed.
- Click and drag the black square on the lower-right corner of the image.
OR - Double-click the image and edit the height and width in the Image Properties window. Then click OK.
