Add a user IP address

Safe IP addresses can be set up to control who accesses the system and from where they access the system. Users with Remote Access permissions are not affected by restrictions set by safe IP addresses.

Depending on your internet provider, your IP addresses may change occasionally. If your IP addresses change, you must add the new IP addresses to the Safe IP Addresses list, otherwise users without Remote Access permission will receive an error when they attempt to log in to Neo.

  1. Click your name in the menu bar. Then click Administration.
  2. Under System Admin, click Safe IP Addresses.
  3. Click Add New IP Address.
  4. In the Add New IP Address window, enter the public IP address of the device the user will log in with. To locate the public IP address, browse to google.com on the device. Type "What is my IP?" in the search bar. Click Search. The device's public IP is listed at the top of the page.
  5. Click Save Changes.
