This function is available for practices with more than one branch. Synchronization works like this:
- The process matches products with the same name and updates all of the prices, pack conversions, and tax rates.
- Diagnostic products (IDEXX Reference Laboratories, IDEXX In-house, Antech, and Zoetis) products do not synchronize across branches.
- For products with tracking selected (Digital, Microchip, or Vaccine), tracking is not synchronized. You will need to go into each product's details in each branch and add the tracking information.
- Special actions are synchronized.
- Products that exist in the main branch but do not exist in the child branch will be created.
- If products are marked as inactive in the main branch, they will be marked as inactive in the child branch.
Note: The logged in branch is the branch whose products will be updated after the sync.
- Review the currently logged-in branch in the menu bar, or log in to a different branch.
Tip: To log in to a different branch, click the branch name in the menu bar. Then select a branch name from the Branch dropdown and click Select Location. - Click your name in the menu bar. Then click Administration.
- Under Branch Management, click Sync Branch Products.
- Select the branch to copy products from.
- Review the branch to copy products to. This is the branch you are currently logged into.
- Click Sync Products.
