You can use Neo's Product Bulk Changes tool when you need to apply an update to multiple products at once. For example:
- Apply a mass markup.
- Inactivate products you no longer stock or sell
- Update a tax rate
- Update a product class
- Enable products to receive an automatic discount
This article reviews the general steps common to any update made using Product Bulk Changes, as well as provides additional guidance for the most frequent uses of this time-saving product administration tool.
IMPORTANT: Before using the Product Bulk Changes tool, we strongly recommend running the Inventory Listing report and saving a copy to your device as reference. For example, price history or in case you make unintentional changes.
Permissions: System Admin, Branch Manager, Product Admin
- Click your name in the menu bar. Then select Administration.
- Under Branch Management, select Product Bulk Changes.
- From the Define Search dropdown, select the field you want to filter your product search on.
- Enter or select a filter.

Optional. Click the plus sign
to add more search criteria.
- Optional. To include deactivated products, select the Include deactivated records checkbox.
- Click Go. The products that match the selected criteria are listed.
- Select the products you want to update.
- To include all products listed, select the checkbox in the header.
- To include specific products, select the checkbox next to each individual product, as needed.
- From the Define Attribute dropdown, select the product field to update.
- Enter or select how the product field should be changed.
Note: Depending on the product field selected in step 9, different options will be available. - Click Preview. In the Products list, the changes to be made are indicated in red text.
- Carefully review and make changes to the attribute, if needed.
- Repeat steps 11-12, as needed.
- Click !!!UPDATE!!! to apply and finalize the change to all the selected products.

Required after updating a markup amount /for mass markups only. To apply a mass markup, click Apply Markups. Click Preview. Then click !!!UPDATE!!!.
IMPORTANT for IDEXX Reference Laboratories, Antech, Vetek, and Zoetis Reference Labs. If you adjust the Unit Cost Price or Unit Selling Price, the reference lab's Unit Cost Price will no longer automatically update the selling price if the reference lab changes the cost in the directory of services.- You can adjust the markup rate for the diagnostic products without affecting automatic pricing updates.
- You can also reset a product to automatic pricing by clicking the blue automatic pricing link in the Diagnostic
The products selected in step 7 will be updated with the changes you applied.
Tip: If you want to review a product's details, click the product name. The product's details page will open in a new browser tab.
Recommended Search and Attribute combinations
