Use IDEXX Neo reports to track and manage your practice performance, client and patient information, and control your inventory.
Newer reports can be located in both the Recently Added section as well as the report category (Appointment, Client, Patient, etc.).
You can add reports you run frequently to your favorite reports list simply by clicking the Favorites icon to the right of the report name. To access your favorite reports, simply click the Favorites button
at the top of the Reports page.
Note: The favorite reports list is based on the logged in user. If there are no favorites for the logged in user, directions on how to add to the Favorites list will be displayed.
Depending on the report, you can view the results in the following formats:
- Bar chart
- Pie chart
- Line chart
- Spreadsheet
- On-screen list
Note: Not all formats are available for all reports.
As available and as needed, select the date range and additional filters to define the information you need returned from the report.
Important: Voided or corrected consultations will be included on applicable reports, as follows. This ensures historic report data will not change. See individual reports’ Additional Details below for more information.

Client
Report name: Aged Accounts Receivable
Description: Clients with unpaid (outstanding) balances and credit balances per branch. Used to find accounts receivable amounts and clients with credit balances.
For multi-branch practices. All unpaid balances are reported using the client's associated or home /primary practice listed on the client Overview at the time the Aged Accounts Receivable report is run. This is to consolidate statements to a single email or letter to the client from their primary practice, regardless of where the transaction (sale) occurred. You can change a client's associated ID (branch), if needed.
Default Date Range: All balances as of Today

If you need a “snapshot” of your accounts receivable to calculate period-to-period (daily, month) change, we recommend:
- Run Aged Accounts Receivable report consistently either:
- First thing in the morning before any financial transactions are entered for the day.
- Last report of your end-of-period closing after all transactions have been recorded /corrected.
- Save a PDF copy of the report to your device to refer to, as needed

Description: Average number of client and patient visits per branch. The standard is to use a one-year period.

Tax
The data for the Sales Tax Summary reports are available as of the end of the previous day.
Important: (Taxable Sales x Tax Rate) may not match the Tax Collected amount for each tax component due to rounding. Tax amounts in Neo are calculated for each individual taxable product or service; when totaled, rounding may account for this slight difference. The Tax Collected amount is the true total of tax amounts presented on client invoices.
Report name: Sales Tax Summary – Accrual Basis
Description: Sales and sales tax amounts for closed invoices per branch. Contains all invoices and refunds closed in the specified date range regardless of payment status. Prepayments, adjustments, and write-offs are not included in the totals.

Report name: Sales Tax Summary – Cash Basis
Description (Invoice Paid Date i.e. date payment was applied to the invoice): Sales and sales tax amounts for paid invoices per branch. Contains all invoices and refunds that were paid in the specified date range.
Default Date Range: Last month

Additional information: The Invoice Total and Amount Paid columns in the Sales Tax Summary - Cash Basis CSV export are not expected to equal your Payment Summary or any total sales for the same reporting period. The CSV export will intentionally contain more than one row for the same invoice ID to accurately reflect if on the invoice there were:
- multiple tax rates; and /or
- multiple tax components; and /or
- multiple payments for the same invoice within the specified date range.
The Sales Tax Summary - Cash Basis Tax Amount column in the CSV will equal the Total Tax Collected on the Sales Tax Summary - Cash Basis page and PDF.
