Connect PetLink Microchip Registration integration with Neo

For North American customers only

This article teaches you how to set up a PetLink integration with Neo.

How does the PetLink integration with Neo work?

With a PetLink integration, you can automatically register PetLink prepaid microchips after the microchip ID is saved to the Microchip ID field in the Neo patient record.

After you successfully connect PetLink and Neo, at approximately 3AM EST every day, PetLink will search Neo for patient records created or updated that include a PetLink prepaid microchip (ID starting with 981).

  • If the chip ID does not already exist in PetLink, PetLink will capture the client and patient information and register the chip.
  • If the chip ID is already registered in PetLink, PetLink will report back the client and patient information for you to verify.

When the nightly process is complete, you will receive an email from PetLink including:

  • Summary and details of the successful uploads, failed uploads, and patients that were previously registered.
  • Instructions to resolve any failed uploads.

IMPORTANT: Only PetLink prepaid microchips beginning with 981 are searched for in Neo; and only client and patient records having a 981 chip are captured by PetLink for registration and data confirmation purposes.
