These steps are only for label printers and need to be repeated for each label printer at your practice, as applicable.
IDEXX recommends the Zebra ZD411 for label printing.
The following printers are discontinued by their manufacturers and are only supported by IDEXX within the scope of setup with Neo: the Zebra ZD410, LP2824, and LP2824 Plus, and the Dymo 400 and 450 including regular and turbo versions. The twin turbo cannot be used with Neo. While these discontinued printers may continue to work with Neo, the ZD411 is current recommendation.
IMPORTANT:
- IDEXX Neo supports 2-3/4” x 2-1/8" labels for prescription labels and 3-1/2" x 1-1/8" for address labels.
- Prescription labels may be used for address labels if two label sizes are not practical, but the fit on the envelope may not be optimum.
- Address labels cannot be used for prescription labels due to the height difference.
- Use this reference information for purchasing labels.
Note: These labels are supported by both the Zebra and Dymo label printer.- Prescription labels: DYMODB when purchasing from IDEXX or 30258, 30324, or 9015 (Diskette) when purchasing locally.
- Address labels: COSTARAD when purchasing from IDEXX or 30252 when purchasing locally.
- Label printers cannot be directly connected to Chromebooks. Chromebooks can print labels via Neo Cloud Print, but the label printer must be connected to another approved device.
