Add procedures to keep track of patients in surgical and procedure rooms. You can view all the procedures in progress in this window.
You can choose from the 10 most-recently viewed patients; so open the patient's record before you begin, if necessary.
You can send an SMS message from the procedure.
IMPORTANT: If your practice uses SmartFlow, you can add the patient to Procedures before creating a new consultation: sending a patient to SmartFlow from a procedure will automatically create the consultation for you. See Send a patient to SmartFlow for more information.
Add a procedure
- Search for and select the patient.
- Click the Procedures tab. You can change the date, if needed.
- Click + Add New.
- Select the provider.
- Select the room.
- Add notes (required).
- Optional. Add the anesthetic information.
- Optional. Add the duration in hours.
- Click Save Procedure.
Edit a procedure
- Click the Procedures tab. You can change the date, if needed.
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon on the procedure you want to edit.
- Make any necessary changes.
- Click Save Changes.
Delete a procedure
- Click the Procedures tab. You can change the date, if needed.
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon on the procedure you want to delete.
- Click Delete Procedure.
- Click OK.
Note: If the patient has been sent to SmartFlow, deleting a procedure will not discharge the patient. You must also discharge the patient from SmartFlow.
