Unreconcile matched orders and results

Occasionally, you may need to correct where diagnostic results are matched.

For example:

  • A diagnostic order was placed in Neo for the wrong patient, and the results are already final.
  • A diagnostic order was placed outside of Neo, and the results were manually reconciled to the wrong patient.

In Neo, you can unreconcile results from one record then reconcile to another.

IMPORTANT: Unreconciling removes the results from the associated patient record but does not remove any diagnostic products from the consultation. After unreconciling, you should review and manually update the consultation, as needed.

  1. Click your name on the menu bar. Then click Diagnostics.
  2. Filter the list by date range, status, and source, if needed.
Note: The Unreconcile action is only available for Final and Partial results.
  3. Locate the results, click the menu button mceclip0.png, and then select Unreconcile.
  4. Click No to cancel.
  5. Click Yes to unreconcile the results.
IMPORTANT: Once you click yes, the results will be removed from the patient record; but any related diagnostic product on the consultation will not be removed. Make note of the patient consultation ID in the alert, so you can go back to the consultation and make updates, as needed.
Tip: You can copy the consultation ID from the alert, and then paste the ID into the global search box after you click Yes.
Note: If the results were reconciled to a paid consultation, the alert will display both the original consultation and the consultation that was created when the results were reconciled.
