If an order is placed outside of the Neo software, the results will be downloaded into Neo as unmatched to a patient on the Diagnostic Orders and Results page and can easily be identified by the Reconcile button in place of the patient name. You must match these results to a patient consultation to make sure the patient's results records are complete.
Note: Diagnostic results can be reconciled up to 45 days from the consultation date.
Examples:
- You place an IDEXX Reference Laboratories or in-house analyzer order through VetConnect PLUS.
- You place a manual order through IDEXX Reference Laboratories or from an IDEXX VetLab Station. Or you add on a test while you’re at the IVLS that you didn’t order through the consultation in Neo.
- You place a digital order from a capture station and the digital product is set up as “invoice only.”
- You place an integrating diagnostic partner's order through their online portal or manual form, as available.
IMPORTANT: A draft consultation must exist to match a result with a patient. If the unmatched result is for a new patient, add the patient and create a consultation. If the result is for an existing patient, make sure the patient has a draft consultation.
