FAQs: Vetstoria integration with Neo

This article covers frequently asked questions about the Vetstoria integration setup and usage within Neo.

SETUP

After you have signed up for your Vetstoria account, in Neo go to Administration > Integrations. Then click Connect in the Vetstoria section. Your API key will automatically be created.

IMPORTANT: You must send your API key to Vetstoria. Click the copy icon to copy the API key; so you can then paste it into an email to send to your Vetstoria onboarding specialist.

Once connected, Vetstoria can access your practice’s:

  • Appointment Settings
    • Appointment types
    • Durations
    • Rooms
    • Hours
  • Clients
  • Patients

Your Vetstoria onboarding specialist will help you complete any necessary setup in your Vetstoria account.

During onboarding, you should contact your Vetstoria onboarding specialist.

Yes. Vetstoria provides settings that allow you to prevent clients from creating overbooks, i.e., scheduling appointments where appointments and block appointments already exist.

USAGE

Clients and patients will be matched from Vetstoria to Neo based on:

  • 1st by unique client email address and /or any phone number
    Note: This includes primary and secondary contacts.
  • 2nd by patient name, client last name, client first name

If Vetstoria cannot locate a client and /or patient record in Neo to match the appointment to, the appointment status will be Unmatched. 

You will be able to match them to existing records or create new records right from the appointment. See Review and update Vetstoria appointments in Neo for more information.

After you have identified any upcoming unmatched appointments, you can match them to existing records or create new records right from the appointment.

Note: We recommend you use the Appointment Summary report to regularly review your upcoming appointments that were scheduled online to help quickly locate any appointments booked online that must be matched to clients and patients.
