REGISTER A MODALITY TYPE
If you're using an IDEXX PACS, open your system settings on your capture station and navigate to DICOM Services > Local Server. This is where your AE title will be listed.
Copy the AE Title exactly as it appears here and enter it in your Web PACS settings, under System Settings > Receiving Images > Equipment AE Title.
Note: If your capture station is not on the validated system list, contact IDEXX Digital Support at 1-877-433-9948
Enter your branch name. For example, "Advanced Pet Care - Portland"
This is what drives your modality type options in Neo. Registering a modality type is required to set up digital products in Neo.
If you're using an IDEXX capture station, find your modality type below:
- IDEXX ImageVue DR40 is a DX (Digital Radiography), so you will choose DX - Digital Radiography from the dropdown list in Web PACS
- IDEXX ImageVue DR50 is a DX (Digital Radiography)
- IDEXX I-Vision CR Systems is a CR (Computed Radiography)
- IDEXX I-Vision DR System is a DX (Digital Radiography)
Common modality types include:
- CR (Computed Radiography)
- DX (Digital Radiography)
- EC (Echocardiography)
- ECG (Electrocardiography)
- CT (Computed Tomography)
- MR (Magnetic Resonance)
- US (Ultrasound)
- IO (Intra-oral Radiography)
That's great! If your modality type shows as "registered" with a checkmark, you're ready to set up a digital product in Neo.
If your modality type does not show as registered, verify the AE title, institution name and modality type have been filled in, and click Register.
ENTER HOSTED DICOM INFORMATION AT YOUR CAPTURE STATION
For an IDEXX PACS, open your Settings. Go to DICOM Services > Remote Server. Add a new server using the following information:
- Server Name: Hosted DICOM
- Server Address: 54.208.114.60
- Port #: 11112
- AE Title: DCM4CHEE_MAIN
- Select Support Query Retrieve
- MWL SCEE: Hosted DICOM (this changes the order status from requested to completed)
- Select Send MPPS for non-requested
If you’re using a capture station provided by a different manufacturer, you can still use the Web PACS integration with Neo. However, your ordering workflow will differ based on whether your capture station supports the DICOM Modality Work List:
- If your capture station supports the Modality Work List standard, you’ll be able to place orders from Neo.
- If your capture station does not support the Modality Work List standard, you cannot place orders from Neo; however, you can start your workflow at the capture station and then reconcile image results into Neo’s patient records and consultations.
CONNECT VETCONNECT PLUS IN NEO
- Have you connected VetConnect PLUS? Enter your VetConnect PLUS account credentials on the IDEXX Diagnostics page to connect Web PACS with Neo.
- Have you waited 24 hours? Neo checks for new modality types overnight, so be sure to wait before looking for ordered results.
- Have you looked at your unreconciled results? If you started your order at the capture station your results will appear as unreconciled results in Neo.
Customers using a third-party capture station may need to contact their third-party capture station support for additional details.
